Heart To Heart - The Ministry of “being there”
When Christians spend time together, they can have an ETERNALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT on one another. Jesus promised that where two or three gathered together in his name, there in their midst he would be. (Matthew 18:20) Where the spirit of God is, there is liberty, for in his presence there is fullness of joy, and at his right hand are pleasures forevermore.
The presence of God brings and attracts an eternal perspective, and even heaven takes note of believers who gather together in his name! Malachi 3:16-17 says “Then they that feared the LORD Spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serveth him.”
I wonder how the world today would be like, if every one of us in this earth had their mind set on the agenda of God’s kingdom! The bible says that wherever Jesus went, he went about doing good, healing the sick, restoring sight to the blind and even raising up even the dead- He was as concerned as the suffering were of themselves.
What is it that ails you, which is eating you alive, that you feel so ashamed of that you could not possibly share with anyone? When you are at home, alone by yourself, or perhaps you are staring at your mirror, and you cannot stop the tears streaming from your eyes, yet you feel helpless because no one seems to care or understand your peculiar problem, we at heart to heart are willing and care enough to listen.
